The unchanging nature of God provides profound comfort in our ever-shifting world. As declared in Malachi 3, 'I am the Lord, I do not change,' giving us an anchor of stability. While God remains constant in His perfect character, His desire is to transform us into the image of Christ—addressing areas in our lives that don't yet reflect Jesus fully. This transformation process, called sanctification, is like a construction zone where the Holy Spirit works through God's Word to help us die to ourselves and come alive to Christ. We were designed to carry God's glory, with Christ in us being 'the hope of glory' (Colossians 1:27). The Holy Spirit empowers this journey, serving as our helper, encourager, comforter, and counselor. We can evaluate our need for change through three tests: the Fruit Test (examining the fruit of the Spirit in our lives), the Grace Test (noticing where God's grace is flowing or diminishing), and the Pain Test (recognizing when God uses discomfort to redirect us). Because God's nature is unchanging, we can trust His blueprint for our lives. Even when we fail, Romans 11:29 assures us that 'the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.' God knew everything about us—including our failures—when He called us, and our mistakes don't change His plans for us.
