Our stance on God's existence fundamentally shapes our entire worldview and determines the foundation upon which we build our lives. People typically fall into three categories: atheists who deny God's existence, theists who believe in some form of deity, and agnostics who claim uncertainty. However, for Christians, merely acknowledging God's existence isn't enough - the goal is knowing Him personally through a relationship restored by Jesus Christ.This relationship was originally broken when sin entered the world through Adam, creating spiritual separation between humanity and God. Jesus came to restore this connection, and through His death and resurrection, believers can experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. God has most fully revealed Himself through Jesus, who declared Himself the exclusive way to know God. This isn't narrow-mindedness but standing on revealed truth. Even the apostle Paul, after years of ministry, expressed his continuing desire to know Christ more deeply, showing that knowing God is a lifelong journey of deepening relationship, similar to how spouses continue discovering each other over decades together. Everyone will ultimately be accountable to God based on creation's testimony, our conscience, and Christ's coming, with eternal destiny determined by whether one's name appears in the Book of Life.
