In our fast-paced world of instant gratification, waiting can feel like torture, yet some of life's most significant battles occur during seasons of waiting. The Hebrew understanding of waiting involves becoming interwoven with God's strength, like strands of rope, creating a stronger and more resilient faith that can endure challenges. This isn't passive waiting but rather an active engagement with God's promises and purposes.Effective waiting involves recognizing that waiting time isn't wasted time when God is in charge. By maintaining worship, proclaiming God's promises, and understanding that God's waiting room often becomes the devil's battlefield, we can learn to war, work, and worship from a place of rest. The enemy typically attacks during these periods with weariness, doubt, complaining, worry, fear, and bitterness. However, those who wait on the Lord can claim powerful promises including renewed strength, mounting up with wings like eagles, running without weariness, and walking without fainting.
