The following blog is a summary of a message preached by Pastor Eddie Lawrence.

Have you ever wondered if there's more to your Christian walk than what you're currently experiencing? The truth is, when you're born again, you receive a spiritual upgrade that includes the ability to see things from God's perspective. This spiritual sight—Kingdom Vision—allows you to partner with God in ways far greater than most believers realize.

What Is Kingdom Vision?

Kingdom vision is a spirit-enabled capacity to see what God is doing, discern His will, perceive people differently, and engage in divine assignments. Jesus made it clear in John 3:3 when speaking to Nicodemus: "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

This means that before you're born again, there are spiritual realities you simply cannot perceive. But after salvation, you receive new spiritual eyes that allow you to see things as God sees them.

How Does Being Born Again Change Your Vision?

When you give your life to Christ, you don't just get a ticket to heaven—you receive a complete upgrade package:

  • New spiritual eyes to see what was previously invisible
  • A new identity as a child of God
  • The ability to hear God's voice and discern His leading
  • A transformed perspective on yourself and others

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come." This transformation isn't just about behavior modification—it's about seeing reality through God's eyes.

The enemy works hard to keep you from understanding who you now are in Christ. He'll constantly remind you of your faults, flaws, and failures to keep you inward-focused and blind to your spiritual potential. But when you settle your identity as God's child, you begin to see with Kingdom vision.

How Can I Recognize God's Leading in Everyday Life?

Kingdom vision turns ordinary moments into divine assignments. Jesus modeled this perfectly when He said in John 5, "The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do."

Even Jesus, while on earth, operated by being led by the Holy Spirit. He would sense the Father's direction and follow it, often without knowing the full picture in advance. We see this in John 4 when Jesus felt compelled to go to Samaria, which led to the conversion of the Samaritan woman and many in her town.

Here's how God might lead you:

  • A person suddenly coming to mind
  • A loss of peace about a certain direction
  • A "holy hunch" or prompting
  • A word or image that seems random but significant
  • A scripture that keeps returning to your thoughts

These promptings often start small. The Holy Spirit might show you one step, and as you obey, He'll reveal the next. Don't overthink it or talk yourself out of it. If you sense God's breath on it, be faithful and take that step of faith.

Can God Really Use Me to See Into Others' Lives?

Kingdom vision enables you to see people prophetically. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:16, "Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh."

The Holy Spirit within you knows everything about the people around you. While you won't know everything about someone (that's not how it works), there are times when God will reveal specific things because He knows He can trust you to pray or act on that information.

This doesn't mean becoming "spooky" or overzealous. It's simply being available and obedient when God highlights someone or something. You might feel led to:

  • Share an encouraging scripture
  • Offer to pray for someone
  • Speak a word of comfort or hope
  • Address an area of bondage the person may be struggling with

When you operate in Kingdom vision, you become an agent of transformation, allowing Jesus to speak into people's lives through you.

Life Application

This week, I challenge you to actively cultivate Kingdom vision in your daily life:

  • Begin each day asking God to help you see what He wants you to see and hear what He wants you to hear.

  • Pay attention to those "divine nudges"—when someone comes to mind, pray for them immediately and consider if God wants you to reach out.

  • When you sense a prompting, don't overthink it. Take a step of faith and watch how God works through your obedience.

  • Remember that Kingdom vision isn't just for church leaders—it's for every believer who has been born again.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I living with an awareness of my spiritual sight, or am I primarily focused on what I can see naturally?
  • What "glass houses" of fear, people-pleasing, or false identity might God want to shatter in my life?
  • How might God want to use me to break generational patterns and release blessing in my family line?

God is preparing to release waves of His glory, and He's equipping you to see, operate, and be led by His Spirit. Will you step into the fullness of your Kingdom vision?
