The Strength Of Your Life

Our relationship with Jesus Christ determines the true strength of our life, far beyond physical capabilities. In 1 Corinthians 2-3, Paul describes three distinct spiritual identities that help us understand our spiritual condition. The natural man has no relationship with Christ, cannot understand spiritual truths, finds God's ways foolish, and makes decisions based on personal desires rather than God's will. Though possibly successful by worldly standards, they lack spiritual discernment. The carnal Christian has accepted Christ but hasn't fully surrendered to His lordship. Signs include envy, strife, spiritual immaturity, and an inconsistent Christian witness. This creates confusion as non-believers see little difference between themselves and these professing Christians. In contrast, the spiritual Christian has Christ enthroned in their life, is led by the Holy Spirit, regularly engages with Scripture and prayer, and bears spiritual fruit. They understand life's temporary nature and focus on eternal matters. The Holy Spirit is essential for this growth, teaching spiritual truths and transforming us from within. Spiritual growth requires honest self-assessment and intentional steps toward greater maturity through Bible study, prayer, surrender, and accountability.
