Paul wrote that a sign of the last days would be a powerless version of being Christian. We are cautioned against embracing or drifting into this condition. A core truth of the Christ life is that we be energized and made alive by God's Spirit. This is an indelible proof of the Jesus life. Simply put, we are to be completely dependent upon the resourcing and empowerment of the Holy Spirit in order to live faithful and fruitful Christian lives. May we all be filled again and again day by day with God's Spirit.
