Ephesians 1:7
Living The Forgiving Life!

Despite knowing Jesus died for their sins, many believers struggle to experience the joy and peace that comes from truly living as forgiven people. Instead of pressing forward into God's calling, they remain trapped by past mistakes and tormented by memories of things already covered by Christ's blood. True redemption means understanding that Jesus paid a debt we could not pay while owing no debt Himself - we are bought with a price and not on a religious installment plan where good works balance bad deeds.

The cross satisfied God's justice completely. When Jesus said 'It is finished' and God raised Him three days later, the universe knew God had accepted Christ's sacrifice. We are legally innocent in God's sight because of the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ. Scripture declares that through His blood we have peace, are brought near to God, are redeemed, overcome Satan, and are cleansed from all sin. There is a crucial difference between the Holy Spirit's conviction, which draws us closer to Christ, and Satan's condemnation, which drives us away from the Lord.

We must recognize our true identity in Christ and declare truth when faced with accusations or temptation. We are children of the Most High God, cleansed by Jesus' blood, being conformed to His image, and have His authority to triumph. The old man is dead - we are new creations and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Our security rests entirely in what Jesus accomplished 2,000 years ago, not in our own efforts or past failures.
