Hebrews 11
3 Things You May Face Without Knowing Why (?)

Christians often find themselves walking through life doing what they believe God wants, yet circumstances don't unfold as expected. This confusion is normal because there's much about God we don't understand, and many questions will remain unanswered until eternity. Hebrews 11 provides powerful examples of people who lived by faith despite tremendous uncertainties, with Abraham serving as a prime example who obeyed God's call to leave his homeland without knowing his destination.

Three specific challenges believers may face include moving forward without knowing where God is leading, waiting without knowing when His promises will be fulfilled, and suffering without understanding why. Sometimes God only gives us step one, requiring radical obedience and intimate relationship to hear His voice for the next step. Waiting can be more difficult than moving, requiring faith to resist manipulating circumstances when God isn't moving us forward. The most challenging aspect is suffering even when we've done nothing wrong, as life isn't fair and bad things happen to good people.

The key to navigating these uncertainties is learning to live with unanswered questions while maintaining trust in God's character. Faith means forsaking all to trust Him, regardless of circumstances. Our ultimate hope lies in eternal life where suffering, pain, and darkness no longer exist. God knows what we don't know, can do what we can't do, and will remain when everything else is gone, making Him worthy of our complete trust.
